I received a copy of the front page of this Chrysler document that verifies the actual use of the term "A864" regarding the 1964 race hemi engine. This should provide enough proof to verify how it was referred to by the engineer's at the very least. I am sure we will continue to use the term "A990" in a loose manor but now you know there is a difference. Unfortunately at this time I do not have the rest of this document which is probably not much more than a technical report as the bottom of this first page would suggest.
